Gold Career Grant, Dr. Maldonado has appeared on many of the nation's most celebrated stages, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Opera Birmingham, Long Beach Opera, Pacific Opera Project, Lyric Opera of Orange County, Indianapolis Opera, and Opera Grand Rapids. His international career has also included performances throughout China, Italy, France, and Mexico, establishing him as a respected artist on the global stage.
While internationally recognized for his operatic performances, Dr. Maldonado's artistry extends far beyond the opera house. Dr. Maldonado earned degrees from California State University, Fullerton and the Manhattan School of Music before completing his Doctor of Musical Arts at Michigan State University under the guidance of renowned baritone Dr. Mark Rucker.
